God of War: Sons of Sparta takes players back to the brutal beginnings of Kratos — long before Olympus fell and long before he became the Ghost of Sparta.

This 2D action platformer dives into Kratos’ youth during the merciless Spartan Agoge, where survival meant pain, loyalty meant sacrifice, and weakness meant death. Fighting alongside his brother Deimos, young Kratos must endure savage trials that will define his destiny.

But this isn’t just nostalgia.

The story is officially canon — expanding the God of War timeline with new insight into the bond between Kratos and Deimos, and the unforgiving Spartan code that shaped them both. Developed by Mega Cat Studios in partnership with Santa Monica Studio, Sons of Sparta blends retro-style 2D combat with the brutal spirit fans expect from the franchise.
